The In-house international design team contributes a wealth of experience, expertise and knowledge. Giving Lightfoot a consistent design approach and allowing design to set benchmark standards within the industry has seen the company rewarded with numerous international Contracts.

This Lightfoots to create far more continuity, as these designers exemplify the company's values (quality, innovation and design) and work alongside brand values. This not only makes the Lightfoot product portfolio consistent but ensures that the dedicated designers who work within the industry day in and day out are focused on product offerings, they are the specialists in product design and maintain close connection with research, design advances, production and marketing all of which help to maintain this continuity.

Lightfoot's is therefore able to provide a complete design service, from concept through to production and in service application. We work with all our customers on a partnering approach, understanding the customer requirement, limits/restriction and application prior to starting a design concept. We have an established process for developing a design through the various stages of the design cycle. With distinct milestones for customer approval before moving on to the next stage. These milestones have clearly defined outputs (also agreed with the customer) which form the input to the next part of the design cycle. We are able to provide outline and final drawings, 3 D modelling and prototyping. We are also fully conversant with the requirements for both military and industry applications, including noise, vibration, EMC and safety both in the UK and abroad.
